This article applies to shared parties and private dining rooms at shared Christmas parties. If you have booked an exclusive event, please refer to the terms and conditions included in your booking contract.
Yes. You can request a reduction in guest numbers, but cancellation charges will usually apply.
You can review the cancellation charges and deadlines that apply to your booking through your Customer Portal before deciding whether to proceed.
For shared parties and private dining rooms at shared Christmas parties, cancellation charges are generally:
42 days or more before the event: the cancellation charge is equivalent to the standard deposit amount for each cancelled guest.
Less than 42 days before the event: the cancellation charge is 100% of the ticket price for each cancelled guest.
For the exact dates and charges that apply to your booking, log in to your Customer Portal and go to Ticket Amendments, then select Cancel or Reduce Tickets.
For the full wording of our cancellation terms, please refer to your booking contract and terms and conditions.
If your booking includes a private dining room at a shared Christmas party, reductions may also be limited by the minimum number required for that room.
If you would like to proceed, enter the number of tickets you want to cancel - not the total number of guests you would like your booking to reduce to.
For example, if you currently have 30 tickets and would like to reduce your booking to 25, enter 5.
The portal will show how many tickets will remain on your booking after the cancellation.
Then:
Your request will then be sent to our team for processing.
After submitting your request, a message will appear on your Booking Details page confirming that a change request is pending.
Once our team has processed the request, this message will disappear and the Tickets Issued number will update to show your new total.

If you are within 42 days of the event, reducing your numbers will not reduce the amount payable for those tickets.
If there is still a chance those places may be used, you may therefore prefer to keep them in reserve.
Once tickets have been removed from your booking, we cannot guarantee that they will be available again later.
If you are certain that some places will not be used and there are more than 21 days until the event, it is still worth submitting a reduction even if there is no financial saving. This means your seating plan can be based on your actual guest numbers, helping to avoid unnecessary empty chairs or tables at your event.
